| | I had 94 mile race on the Kaw (kansas) river this weekend. There were 123 kayaks, canoes, and surkskis...and me On the Hobie 14' elite SUP! It was a grueling race, with very high temps, a very shallow river with a ton of sandbars. With a 6pm start, most of the race took place at night. The last tally on the race website said there were 34 boats that did not finish, with the bulk of them dropping out at the 20-40 mile mark. I finished with a time of 23 hours and 58 minutes of paddling/carrying my board over sand bars. Truly an insane race! |
