Message from Cyril and Amy:

Dear fellow Sailor, Kayaker and Fisher,

We are excited to continue to provide our community with this haven for sailors, kayakers, and boarders. That is why we bought The St. Louis Sailing Center. We love boating and being on the water. We did not want the shop and its community to leave the St. Louis market place.

Our goal is to make St. Louis Sail & Paddle the region's premier dealership for kayaks, recreation and performance sailboats, and stand-up paddle boards. We want you to continue to have a place to:

  • Ask your sailboat, kayak, and board questions,

  • Find out from Larry how to fix your boat or just get it fixed,

  • Learn how sail,

  • Buy a boat or board

  • Get that sailing, kayak or fishing accessory you need,

  • Find a nautical gift for your spouse or buddy,

  • Attend a water demo so you can try out the boats and boards yourself, and

  • Hang out with fellow sailors, fishers, kayakers, and boarders.

We are also introducing this new phenomenom that is sweeping the coasts and Hawaii called Stand-Up Paddle boards or SUPs. SUP's provide great exercise that is fun for all ages. You'll be able to 'board' in just one lesson. Watch for our water demos this spring!

Even though folks need to be cautious during these unsure economic times, most of us still want to get outside and have fun on the water. Kayaks, small sailboats and SUPs are the perfect solution. They provide affordable, green, healthy, family fun!

It is hard to imagine in our age of jet planes, super tankers and automobiles that for centuries the only way to cross the ocean or travel along our coast lines and in-land water ways was to sail or paddle. This rich history ensures that sailing and paddling will always be a part of our pastimes. For many of us, our ancestors arrived on these shores by sailboat. Being on the water is part of our cultural DNA! A still lake beckons us to float. A river calls us to row. And for folks that have been bitten by the sailing bug, a breeze begs to be captured. It is relaxing. It is exciting. It is healthy. And none of it hurts our natural ecosystems.

Speaking of ecosystems, did you know that there are over 380,000 acres of sailing water, not to mention four rivers available within a 2.5-hour radius of St. Louis? The manufacturers we represent have proven themselves for many decades and have developed exciting new innovations we want to share with our community.

St. Louis Sail & Paddle will be the place to help more people enjoy these simple and engaging pastimes that have been part of our psyche for generations. The St. Louis Sail & Paddle crew will build on the 30 plus year legacy of The St. Louis Sailing Center and we look forward to serving you. Thank you for ensuring that sailing and paddling continue to be part of our region's future memories!

All the best,
Cyril & Amy
